Expoagro Galicia

Banco Galicia needed its wholesale banking stand at Expoagro, the agricultural and livestock exhibition of Argentina, finished and in order 24 hours before the opening, in every edition from 2010 to 2019 and from 2022 to 2026.

Expoagro is usually held far from urban centers, in an isolated part of the Argentine countryside with limited access to services. The working window was two weeks and the weather was unstable: rain and storms recur every year.

At the exhibition, Banco Galicia acts as a facilitator between the main suppliers of agricultural machinery and inputs and the producers, large and small.

Mashin managed the Banco Galicia stand project at Expoagro and started with a specification with clear delivery conditions, to reduce the risk of misunderstandings in a project with dozens of moving parts. Suppliers with experience in this kind of work were brought in, and Banco Galicia was asked for the list of suppliers it had worked with before, to include them.

Each potential supplier was assessed on five axes, scored from 1 to 5: compliance with the specification, compliance with the brief, a realistic work schedule, delivery time and price. That scoring was used to select the partners, and the execution plan in the field was followed continuously.

Mashin coordinated the delivery of the stand 24 hours before opening and its operation during the week of the exhibition, with rain and repairs among the contingencies. It also coordinated a cocktail event for 1,000 people. The deliverables included the stand, the cocktail event, customer-facing staff, cleaning, security, scooters to get around the show and other activations.

Mashin ruled out building the stand with its own architecture teams, to avoid being both judge and party. At a high-risk event, the chosen role was that of sole judge of the suppliers, to always sustain the highest level of quality.

According to the project's internal management document, the Banco Galicia stand was delivered 24 hours before the opening of Expoagro in the 2010 to 2019 editions and in the 2022 to 2026 editions, with Mashin in charge of project management.
